Consular Services
The Embassy of the Republic of Haiti in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela informs the general public and the Haitian community in particular that the services of the consular section are open from Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
Procedures
- Passport Passports are issued to Haitian applicants upon presentation of an identity document and proof of Haitian citizenship (passport, personal identification card).
- Birth certificate Any Haitian parent may present their child at the Consular Section to obtain a birth certificate, provided they meet the legal requirements. Children aged 0 to 2 years. Requirements being updated
- Legalization All documents originating from Haiti can be authenticated/legalized by the Consular Section of the Embassy of Haiti in Venezuela if they have been previously authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Haiti. Requirements being updated
- Mandate A power of attorney allows a person (grantor) to delegate certain powers of legal representation to any other person (agent) of their choice. Requirements being updated
- Marriage The Consulate offers registration and celebration of civil marriages between Haitian citizens provided that the legal requirements are met.
Other information
Tourist Visa
Tourists traveling to Haiti generally do not need a visa to enter the country. Their passport must be valid for at least six months, and they must pay an arrival fee of $10 USD at the airport. This rule applies except for citizens of countries that require a visa to enter Haiti.
