Ambassador Jean Mary Vaval announced the Republic of Haiti's commitment to strengthening SELA.

On Tuesday, August 13, 2025, the Ambassador of the Republic of Haiti to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela visited the Permanent Secretary of the Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA), Ambassador Lesly David, to congratulate him on his new position, which began on Friday, August 1, 2025.

During this meeting, the Ambassador expressed the commitment of the Republic of Haiti to the strengthening of this intergovernmental organization, whose undeniable objective is to promote cooperation and integration in our region.

For his part, the new Permanent Secretary of SELA reaffirmed his commitment to promoting a work program for the development and economic integration of the region.
