Joint meeting to optimize the collection of Public Treasury revenue
The Directorate General of the Public Treasury and Public Accounting (DGTCP) chaired a hybrid meeting (face-to-face and virtual) on optimizing the collection of Public Treasury revenue.
This joint meeting brought together representatives from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH), the General Directorate of Taxes (DGI) and the General Administration of Customs (AGD).
The working session focused on optimizing public treasury revenues, an initiative that is part of a broader effort to modernize the public financial management system, with special attention to the digitization of payments and the interconnection of systems between different collection agencies and other stakeholders.
Participants discussed current cyclical and structural challenges in the Public Treasury's revenue collection chain, potential solutions, and the steps needed to move effectively toward the timely completion of the project.
It was decided to create working groups on key aspects such as IT infrastructure, finalize the project framework documents and develop a public awareness plan for modernization initiatives.
